I am a Chartered Accountant, business advisor and tax specialist, with extensive experience helping clients navigate complex tax and commercial issues.
I have worked in the Chartered Accountancy profession since 1988, including senior tax roles with New Zealand and international firms. Before joining the firm, I was a Tax Principal at WHK Auckland, now Crowe Australasia/Findex, and a Tax Partner at Horwath Porter Wigglesworth.
Today, I provide specialist tax advice to business owners, professional firms, law firms and organisations with in-house accounting teams.
My approach is practical, commercial and outcome focused. I work with clients to provide clear advice they can act on with confidence.
I use my tax and commercial experience to help clients:
- Resolve tax issues in practical, effective and commercially sensible ways.
- Plan tax-effective outcomes for business acquisitions and sales, mergers, structuring, liquidations/wind ups and investments.
- Support clients through Inland Revenue reviews, audits and disputes.
- Advise on the tax implications of migrating to or from New Zealand.
- Provide specialist tax opinions for clients and other professional advisers.
Outside work, I enjoy spending time with my family, and hiking in New Zealand and trekking in different parts of the world.
