Managing Risk Workshop

Managing Risk Workshop - Do you feel like you should understand accounting and your financial statements better?

dices

Often people start out in business because they are particularly good at doing something or find a solution to a problem, not necessarily because they want to be a company director and undertake all the other various tasks that come with running a business. Some business owners have had no training on accounting terminology or how to read financial statements to understand them for the purpose of better decision making. Some have managed to grow significant businesses, yet feel overwhelmed when confronted with financial information and too embarrassed to ask questions for fear of feeling stupid and they should already know the answer.

Banks now not only look at your financial history, they also look at who is running the business, making the decisions and what level of governance the business has. They have identified that one of their risks is the people making decisions in the business.

We have designed a workshop called Managing Business Risk to bring you awareness of some of the things if done poorly can put your business at risk; however done well they can increase the sustainability of your business.

The workshop includes the following topics:

  • Effective Governance
  • Financial reporting, budgets and Cashflow Reporting
  • Working Capital
  • Bank, accountant and IRD relationships

The workshop is informal, where we create a relaxed environment so you can feel comfortable participating and asking questions.
