Over the last 8 years we have progressively been shifting our computer records from 'On-site PC' based to 'The Cloud'. This (the Cloud) means that all our important data files are stored securely on a remote server provided by our IT Provider and all files are backed up regularly.
From 1st April 2016 there will be changes to way you supply us with documents and files and the way we communicate queries to you.
We are now in the throes of shifting our Accounting Working Papers from paper-based records to 'The Cloud'. From 1st April 2016 we intend to use the new Online Workpapers Systems and we will communicate with you with an email titled 'Ready to Commence' with a Checklist attached. This email will provide you with a link that enables you to create your own login and upload your documents directly into our Online Workpaper System.
When you are ready to send to us your details and attachments for year ended 31st March 2016 please email or phone either Brent, Chris or Roger, (or the Accountant that usually completes your work) and we will send you a link to the Online Workpaper System.
Cloud based data storage is now recognised worldwide as much safer than on-site PC storage. Christchurch accountants who were Cloud based when the big earthquake struck will confirm this!
Data files attached to ordinary emails are not safe and can become detached by Spam and Trash checking routines on email servers. We therefore would be pleased if you would in future use our Online Work Paper System for transfer of documents and your replies to our queries.
